Should You Sell in the Winter or Wait for Spring?
I’m sharing some of the reasons you shouldn’t necessarily wait for the spring to sell your home.

Should you sell your home during the winter or wait for spring? I often receive this question from sellers. The answer is, it depends.
Many times when people are looking to purchase houses in the winter, there are fewer showings because we’re working with the holidays, everything from Thanksgiving to Mardi Gras.
If we time it right, we’re able to pick up the buyer that’s been waiting all winter to find the right house.
Other times of the year people come to showings just for fun, but in the winter buyers are much more motivated. You’re also able to jump ahead of the rest of the pack who will be coming into the spring market rush. Additionally, the supply of homes is generally a bit lower in the winter, so your house stands out; it isn’t competing with all the other properties that come onto the market in the spring months.
Further, in the spring there’s an influx of new homes coming onto the market. If we time it right, we’re able to pick up the buyer that’s been waiting all winter to find the right house before the spring rush begins.
